WarDogs COS Triumph Over Orioles

WarDogs COS beat Orioles 10-7 on Sunday.
WarDogs COS opened the scoring in the second after Mitchell Crawford singled, scoring one run.
Orioles jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Rene Castaneda singled down the left field line, WarDogs COS committed an error, Matt Vincent singled to center field, and , each scoring one run.
WarDogs COS flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Boone Nissen on an 0-2 count that drove in two.
Josh Romero started the game for WarDogs COS. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and four runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking two. Rob Bush started on the bump for Orioles. The hurler surrendered six hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four.

Todd Nieuwenhuis and Stewart Phillips each appeared in relief for WarDogs COS.
WarDogs COS collected 16 hits in the game. TJ Howton, Nissen, Eli Jefferson, Ben Schoonover, and Kyle Zirbes each collected two hits for WarDogs COS. Boone Nissen(MVP) led WarDogs COS with three runs batted in. The right fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. WarDogs COS stole six bases in the game.
Orioles piled up 12 hits in the game. Sam Arnold led Orioles with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 1-for-4 on the day. Vincent, Orioles’s number nine hitter, led the team with three hits in four at-bats. Orioles turned one double play in the game. Orioles were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.
