Dominic San Felippo Leads Bombers Past Marmots

Dominic San Felippo struck out 11 batters as the hurler led Bombers past Marmots 3-1 on Sunday. San Felippo gave up two hits and one run over eight innings while walking three.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Bombers pitchers struck out 12, while Marmots sat down five.
A single by Caleb Wade put Bombers on the board in the bottom of the third.
Eric Norman grounded out, which helped Marmots tie the game at one in the top of the seventh.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Bombers went back into the lead after Kyle Woodard singled to the right side of the infield, and Reed Stoltzfus singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Carter Gerber took the loss for Marmots. The starter went eight innings, giving up two runs (zero earned) on 10 hits, striking out five and walking seven. Hunter Crisp collected the save.
Bombers accumulated 10 hits in the game. Stoltzfus led Bombers with three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Wade, Stoltzfus, and Woodard each drove in one run for Bombers. Josh Kagarise collected two hits for Bombers in four at bats. Alec Ortiz led Bombers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Bombers turned two double plays in the game.
Norman led the team with one run batted in. Brett Gelb and Sloan Soulia each collected one hit for Marmots. Marmots turned three double plays in the game.
