Grizzlies Victorious Over Pistols

Grizzlies topped CS Pistols ’25 6-5 on Sunday at Scheels.

CS Pistols ’25 jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Dan Seale drew a walk, scoring one run, and Carrington induced Joe McKenzie to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored.

CS Pistols ’25 added one run in the third. Dan Seale singled down the left field line, making the score 4-2.

Grizzlies took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Skyler Rorabaugh singled to center field, Carrington singled to center field, and Bart Jennings hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Skyler Rorabaugh earned the win for Grizzlies. The righty gave up two hits and one run over three innings, striking out four and walking none. Dan Seale took the loss for CS Pistols ’25. The right-handed pitcher went four innings, giving up six runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking six. Carrington stepped on the bump first for Grizzlies. The starter allowed six hits and four runs over three innings, striking out none and walking three.

Grizzlies tallied 10 hits in the game. Joe Samaco led Grizzlies with two hits in two at bats. Jim Tapia, Shane Cornell, Skyler Rorabaugh, Bart Jennings, Joe Samaco, and Carrington each drove in one run for Grizzlies. Skyler Rorabaugh led Grizzlies with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.

Dan Seale and Efrain Avila were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for CS Pistols ’25. Dan Seale led CS Pistols ’25 with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. CS Pistols ’25 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Rocky Rockwell had the most chances in the field with five.

Grizzlies will travel to CS Pistols ’25 for their next game on Sunday.
