Mountaineers Lose Pitchers Duel, Nomads Win MABL-A
2 Pitchers Team Up As Nomads Shut Out Mountaineers
Nomads defeated Mountaineers 3-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Austin Lehman and Paul Stelling each pitched for Nomads in the game. Stelling induced a groundout from Matthew Ehrhardt to get the last out.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Nomads pitchers struck out six, while Mountaineers sat down eight.
Nomads got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning after Jared Lehman doubled to center field, Mason Lehman singled down the left field line, and Cade Hammerquist singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Lehman earned the win for Nomads. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out two and walking two. Owen Serrano took the loss for Mountaineers. The hurler went eight innings, allowing three runs (zero earned) on nine hits, striking out eight and walking one. Stelling collected the save.

Nomads piled up nine hits in the game. Stelling led Nomads with two hits in three at bats. Stilling was selected as the MVP. Lehman, Hammerquist, and Lehman each drove in one run for Nomads. Nomads turned one double play in the game.
Ray Gallegos, Chris Kingsolver, Ehrhardt, Tyler Mckinley, and Bradley each collected one hit for the Mountaineers.
