Bombers’s Late Push Leads To Victory Over New Mexico Skysox

Bombers snatched the lead late in their 4-3 victory over New Mexico Skysox on Saturday. The game was tied at three in the top of the sixth when Sloan Soulia doubled, scoring one run.

Bombers got on the board in the first inning after Caleb Wade singled, scoring one run.

Bombers added one run in the second. Russell Torres singled to left field on an 0-2 count, making the score 2-0.

Bombers scored one run in the top of the third on a solo home run to left field by Reed Stoltzfus.

New Mexico Skysox tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a walk by Chris Aspaas, a single by Malachi Jaramillo, and a single by Tyler Griego.

Jeremiah Struble earned the win for Bombers. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one. Adam Burke took the loss for New Mexico Skysox. The starting pitcher went seven innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits, striking out four and walking none.

Soulia led Bombers with two hits in three at bats. Wade, Stoltzfus, Torres, and Soulia each drove in one run for Bombers. Bombers turned one double play in the game.

New Mexico Skysox’s Jaramillo, the number eight hitter, led New Mexico Skysox with two hits in three at bats. Griego, Jaramillo, and Aspaas each drove in one run for New Mexico Skysox.
