Chaos Secure Win Against Mountaineers

Chaos were triumphant over Mountaineers 8-4 on Sunday at Spurgeon.

Mountaineers got on the board in the first inning after JRod Nieves singled, scoring one run.

Chaos took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Jonathan Tyra singled to center field, and Jordan Scholl grounded out, each scoring two runs.

Mountaineers tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a walk by Blayne Chapmen, a single by Tj, and a walk by Thomas.

Chaos made the score 8-4 in the bottom of the fifth after #77 singled, scoring one run, Bud Maison singled, scoring one run, and Ty Austin grounded out, scoring two runs.

Owen Serrano stepped on the mound first for Mountaineers. The starter gave up 12 hits and eight runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking three.

Chaos piled up 12 hits in the game. Jordan Scholl, Santiago Vigil, and #77 each collected two hits for Chaos. Jonathan Tyra and Ty Austin each drove in two runs for Chaos. None threw an immaculate inning in the fourth, striking out the side on nine pitches. Jonathan Tyra stole two bases.

JRod Nieves, Tyler Mckinley, Geogre, Thomas, and Tj each collected one hit for Mountaineers. Blayne Chapmen, JRod Nieves, Thomas, and Tj each drove in one run for Mountaineers. Blayne Chapmen led Mountaineers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Mountaineers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Blayne Chapmen had the most chances in the field with nine.

Chaos will travel to Expos for their next game on Sunday.
