Stoltzfus Drives In 4 To Lead Bombers Past Pistols

Reed Stoltzfus drove in four runs on four hits to lead Bombers past Pistols 16-2 on Sunday at Rampart. Reed Stoltzfus hit a home run to left field in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and tripled in the fifth inning, scoring one.
Bombers got on the board in the top of the first inning after K Campbell singled to right field, and Caleb Wade flew out, each scoring one run.
Bombers added one run in the third after Dominic San Felippo grounded into a fielder’s choice.
Bombers scored six runs on two hits in the top of the sixth inning. Hunter Crisp doubled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Reed Stoltzfus homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Hunter Crisp earned the win for Bombers. The pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking none. C McLaughlin took the loss for Pistols. The pitcher went four innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking none. Kyle Woodard appeared in relief for Bombers.
Bombers piled up 18 hits in the game. Hunter Crisp, Bombers’s number seven hitter, led the team with five hits in five at-bats. Dominic San Felippo and K Campbell each collected multiple hits for Bombers.
R Clavelli went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Leadoff hitter Q Clark led Pistols with two hits in four at bats. Pistols turned one double play in the game.
Bombers welcome Vipers on Sunday for their next game.
