BigFoot Falls To Expos 26


BigFoot fell to Expos 26 7-4 on Sunday at Spurgeon.

Expos 26 were the first to get on the board in the third when Shirt Red hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

BigFoot took the lead in the top of the fourth. Nash Holtz hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs, to give BigFoot the lead, 2-1.

Expos 26 flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Anthony Henderson that drove in two.

Austin Lehman started the game for BigFoot. The hurler gave up nine hits and seven runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking six. Christian Price started on the bump for Expos 26. The hurler surrendered nine hits and four runs (two earned) over nine innings, striking out 12 and walking one.

BigFoot collected nine hits in the game. Nash Holtz provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led BigFoot with two runs batted in.  Jared Lehman led BigFoot with three hits in four at bats. Corey Haberkorn collected two hits for BigFoot in four at bats. BigFoot turned one double play in the game.

Expos 26 amassed 12 hits in the game. Riley Hernandez and Dan Cooper each collected two hits for Expos 26. Anthony Henderson and Shirt Red each drove in two runs for Expos 26. Terence Frett led Expos 26 with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.

Next up for BigFoot is a game against Marauders on Friday.
