Bombers Come Up Short Against Pistols

Bombers could not keep pace with Pistols 6-1 on Saturday at FFCHS BLUE FIELD.
Pistols jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Jaden Biron doubled, scoring two runs, and Patrick Waldron grounded out, scoring one run.
Matt Schwindt earned the win for Pistols. The hurler surrendered five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out five and walking none. Kyle Woodard took the loss for Bombers. The hurler went three and one-third innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on five hits, striking out four and walking three.
Scott Blosser led Bombers with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Jared Esquivel, Scott Blosser, Russell Torres, Carter Gerber, and Thomas Meals each collected one hit for Bombers.
Jaden Biron led Pistols with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. Jaden Biron went 1-for-1 on the day. Vic Pulido went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Pistols in hits. Pistols turned one double play in the game.
Bombers play at home on Saturday against Vipers in their next game.
