Pikes Peak WARJACKS lost to Duke City Angels 6-2 on Saturday at FFCHS RED FIELD.
Duke City Angels opened the scoring in the first after Elijah Pearlman singled, scoring one run.
Duke City Angels added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Ben Jacquez homered to center field, and Nate Ross singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Keven Abbott homered to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the seventh for the Duke City Angels.
Adam Burke earned the win for Duke City Angels. The starter surrendered five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. Todd Nieuwenhuis pitched four innings in relief for Pikes Peak WARJACKS. The pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (two earned) while, striking out two and walking three. Ethan Spice took the loss for Pikes Peak WARJACKS. The hurler went three innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out one and walking two.
Cail Jennings led the team with one run batted in. Ozair Hasan, Justin Carsell, Jason Elster, Eli Jefferson, and Todd Nieuwenhuis each collected one hit for Pikes Peak WARJACKS. Pikes Peak WARJACKS turned one double play in the game.
Keven Abbott went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Elijah Pearlman, Aidan Pearlman, Keven Abbott, Treston Shallenberger, Benito Martinez, Ben Jacquez, and Nate Ross each collected one hit for Duke City Angels. Duke City Angels turned one double play in the game.
