Pistols Secure Win Against Oysters

Pistols beat Oysters 26 8-3 on Saturday at FFCHS BLUE FIELD.
Pistols opened the scoring in the first after J Jacobs hit into a double play, but one run scored.
Pistols added one run in the second after Vic Pulido scored after tagging up.
Corey McLaughlin earned the win for Pistols. The hurler surrendered eight hits and one run over five innings, striking out two and walking four. Justin Kruse took the loss for Oysters 26. The pitcher went four and one-third innings, allowing eight runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking five. Hunter McWilliams appeared in relief for Pistols.
Rick Clavelli led Pistols with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Pulido went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Pistols in hits. Patrick Waldron paced Pistols with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Pistols turned four double plays in the game.
Oysters 26 amassed 10 hits in the game. Tyler Wendt went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Oysters 26 in hits. Andy Godishh and Andrew Behan each collected multiple hits for Oysters 26. Oysters 26 turned two double plays in the game.
Next up for Pistols is a game against Bombers on Saturday.
