Duke City Angels Trounce Vipers

12 July 2026 – Duke City Angels easily dispatched Vipers on Sunday at FFCHS BLUE, 9-3 winning the Rocky Mountain Baseball Bash National Division.
Vipers got on the board in the first inning after Jared Booth drew a walk, scoring one run.
Duke City Angels captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when Nate Ross singled, scoring one run, Maurice La Fon singled, scoring two runs, and Scott Ostrowsky drew a walk, scoring one run.
Duke City Angels added one run in the second. Maurice La Fon walked, making the score 5-1.
A walk by Elijah Pearlman extended the Duke City Angels lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the third inning.
Isaac Toledo earned the win for Duke City Angels. The righty gave up three hits and three runs over five innings, striking out five and walking four. Nolan Adamski took the loss for Vipers. The hurler went eight innings, surrendering nine runs (eight earned) on 13 hits, striking out six and walking nine. Jaret Granger tossed four innings of no-run ball for Duke City Angels in relief. The righty allowed two hits, striking out four and walking none.
Duke City Angels piled up 13 hits in the game. Treston Shallenberger, Benito Martinez, Kobe Parra, and Nate Ross each collected two hits for Duke City Angels. Maurice La Fon led Duke City Angels with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Duke City Angels had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Treston Shallenberger, Scott Ostrowsky, and Daniel Gonzalez led the team with two free passes each.
Joey O’Dell, Tyler Biltimier, Shai James, Tyler Matheny, and Evan Ford each collected one hit for Vipers. Andrew Bruntz led Vipers with one run batted in.
