Vipers Walk-Off In Nail-Biter Against Pistols

Vipers took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Pistols at FFCHS BLUE. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the seventh when Evan Ford singled, scoring one run.
A walk by Corey McLaughlin put Pistols on the board in the top of the first.
Pistols added one run in the third after Quinton Clark singled to center field.
Vipers captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the fourth when Nolan Adamski doubled, scoring two runs, and Nic Bruntz hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Pistols scored on a wild pitch, which helped Pistols tie the game at three in the top of the seventh.
Owen Serrano earned the win for Vipers. The pitcher gave up six hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking three. Hunter McWilliams took the loss for Pistols. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing one run on three hits, striking out one and walking one. #11 stepped on the hill first for Pistols. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two.
Vipers piled up nine hits in the game. Nolan Adamski provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Vipers with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Joey O’Dell and Evan Ford each collected two hits for Vipers. Vipers turned one double play in the game.
Quinton Clark, Vic Pulido, Rick Clavelli, Corey McLaughlin, Tyler Manzanares, and Aharon Enriquez each collected one hit for Pistols. Quinton Clark led Pistols with one run batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
Vipers will travel to Duke City Angels for their next game on Sunday.
