Oysters Fall To Duke City Angels After Surrendering Big First Inning

Duke City Angels scored four runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Oysters 26 7-0 on Sunday at FFCHS BLUE.
Duke City Angels got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Nate Ross singled to center field, and Oysters 26 committed an error, each scoring two runs.
Julian Lopez earned the win for Duke City Angels. The starter gave up five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking none. JJ pitched five and two-thirds innings in relief for Oysters 26. The reliever allowed eight hits and three runs while, striking out one and walking none. Paul Giaquinto stepped on the bump first for Oysters 26. The hurler allowed five hits and four runs (three earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking none.
Joey Becerra, Tanner Keiley, Andy Godishh, Josh Rodriguez, and Nick Walsh each collected one hit for Oysters 26. Oysters 26 turned one double play in the game.
Duke City Angels piled up 13 hits in the game. Benito Martinez and Nate Ross each collected three hits for Duke City Angels. Maurice La Fon and Nate Ross each drove in two runs for Duke City Angels. Elijah Pearlman and Treston Shallenberger each collected multiple hits for Duke City Angels. Benito Martinez stole two bases. Duke City Angels turned one double play in the game. Duke City Angels were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Keven Abbott had the most chances in the field with seven.
