Big Second Inning Leads Vipers Past Oysters

Vipers defeated Oysters 2025 7-1 on Sunday thanks in part to five runs in the second inning. Tyler Biltimier doubled, scoring one run, Aaron Peller tripled, scoring two runs, and Jared Booth tripled, scoring two runs.

Vipers opened the scoring in the first after Nic Bruntz singled, scoring one run.

Casey Pickering earned the win for Vipers. The righty surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking none. Tony Viger took the loss for Oysters 2025. The pitcher went two innings, giving up six runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking three.

Vipers piled up nine hits in the game. Biltimier, Vipers’s number nine hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Peller and Booth each drove in two runs for Vipers. Nate Bruntz collected two hits for Vipers in three at bats.

Tanner Keiley, Paul Giaquinto, and JJ each collected one hit for Oysters 2025.
