Expos 26 Breeze Past Pikes Peak Prospectors

Expos 26 won big over Pikes Peak Prospectors 16-7 on Wednesday.

Expos 26 opened the scoring in the first after Dalton Myers singled, scoring one run.

Marc Vieux flew out, which helped Pikes Peak Prospectors tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Expos 26 took the lead in the bottom of the second. Anthony Henderson singled, scoring one run, to give Expos 26 the upper hand, 2-1.

Jerry Levi singled down the left field line, which helped Pikes Peak Prospectors tie the game at two in the top of the fourth.

Expos 26 made the score 6-2 in the bottom of the fourth after Cody Quelland singled, scoring one run, Ben Hale tripled, scoring two runs, and Anthony Henderson singled, scoring one run.

Pikes Peak Prospectors flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Andrew Warner that drove in two.

Expos 26 flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 12-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Cody Quelland that drove in two.

Dalton Myers earned the win for Expos 26. The pitcher surrendered five hits and five runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking three. Jess Howard took the loss for Pikes Peak Prospectors. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering 12 runs on 11 hits, striking out seven and walking six. Cody Quelland started the game for Expos 26. The starter allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking five. Keegan Cornelius pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Expos 26 in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

Expos 26 tallied 13 hits in the game. Cody Quelland provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Expos 26 with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Dalton Myers went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Expos 26 in hits. Christopher Lucca, Ben Hale, and Anthony Henderson each collected multiple hits for Expos 26. Expos 26 worked the count all day, piling up six walks. Expos 26 ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game.

Andrew Warner drove the middle of the lineup, leading Pikes Peak Prospectors with two runs batted in. The center fielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Jerry Levi, Josh Parkhurst, Lee Manto, Tanner Fremont, Andrew Warner, Kaden Levi, and Jess Howard each collected one hit for Pikes Peak Prospectors. Andrew Warner paced Pikes Peak Prospectors with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Pikes Peak Prospectors turned one double play in the game.
