Earing’s Clutch Hitting Propels Lumberjacks To Victory Over Orioles

AC Earing drove in four runs on one hit to lead Lumberjacks past Orioles 9-1 on Friday. In the seventh inning, AC Earing doubled, scoring three runs.
Lumberjacks opened the scoring in the second after Tommy Payson scored after tagging up.
Orioles scored one run in the bottom of the eighth on a solo home run to right field by Garrett Hutchins.
Kyle Roy earned the win for Lumberjacks. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and one run over nine innings, striking out eight and walking one. Rob Bush took the loss for Orioles. The starter went six innings, allowing two runs (zero earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking two.
Lumberjacks amassed 14 hits in the game. Kyle Roy, Tommy Payson, Justin Carsell, Matt Crafa, and Josh Dole each collected two hits for Lumberjacks. Matt Crafa led Lumberjacks with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Lumberjacks ran wild on the base paths, accumulating four stolen bases for the game. Lumberjacks turned one double play in the game. Lumberjacks were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Josh Dole had the most chances in the field with 11.
Garrett Hutchins led Orioles with one run batted in. Garrett Hutchins went 2-for-3 on the day. Rob Bush and Garrett Hutchins each collected two hits for Orioles.
